The past two days have been full. Took a day off on Tuesday as my daughter gave her son ( my grandson ) a sister, Emily. So now I guess Grandpa gets to buy another christmas and birthday gift. Shoes?? 
to running, and I knew it would happen sooner than later, but time forced me to the basement andthe evil treadmill. Got it in and only had to slip on a pair of running shorts and my shoes. That was good, can't wait till spring !

Southport girls track coach Herman Bueno will be inducted into the University of Indianapolis Athletic Hall of Fame on Feb. 6.
Bueno is a 1980 UIndy graduate and was a four-time letter winner in both cross country and track and field. He was selected the school’s most valuable player in cross country all four years and was the Great Lakes Valley Conference and Little State champion in 1979. He was a NCAA Division II national qualifier in 1978 and ’79.
In track and field, was the Little State steeplechase champion and NCAA Division II national qualifier in 1977 and ’78.
Bueno has been a coach in track and cross country at both the high school and middle school level at Southport and was inducted into the school’s Wall of Fame in 2004.
Herman was also a top 5 finisher in the early days of the mini-marathon, and worked at Runners Forum, from 1978-1982 until re-locating to Ft. Wayne with IBM
