On This Day
On This day in 1965 The Beatles movie HELP was released in the United States. I remember I went to the Emerson to see it . My $1 bill in hand and another $1 for popcorn , coke and candybar

That was about the time my running career began , 10 years old , fall track at IPS #71. For me it was cross country as we had to run around the school 2 times on the grass . It was about a mile total. It was called the long run, and it was last because it was boring for parents to watch.

The big event was the 50 yard dash, on the grass but EVERYONE thought they were a sprinter. That is one thing at 10 I knew for sure , I wasn't at all fast, but I could run forever.

Still like that today , as I have aged , the speed has slowed but the run is still a blast.  7 great miles this morning , still dark and overcast the whole way , but just like the past once my mind drifted , the pace quickened and by the end , all though not fast , I was down to 7:30 pace.

The mountain biking is one of the reason's . I can get my need for speed on the bike and I can really get my heart rate up hammering out 20 miles like last night thru the trails .

I have also got my posture better for running , and can keep up a good cadence running at average of 170 per min.   Just like the bike , I have found my gear and it is a high cadence also .

Everything works together, and in the end I am much happier and healthier

Run 7 miles at good pace / 20 miles on mountain bike hammering
