Sunday Feb 14, 2010

A Sunday without football must tell me it is really time to pick up the running. So off to the usual place I run on Sunday's, the Monon. The reason I think is, I can look at my watch at certain spots and gauge my fitness often and its a weather barrier a lot of the time.

Anyway you need to get on trail early, if not most time of the year it is packed,

but this morning not a person to be seen. It was COLD ,

again tears in my eyes for the first mile.

North on the Monon to the end in Westfield, then back to the Main Street parking lot. The run out was really smooth and the road back was 2:35 faster, a little over 7 min pace.

Maybe just maybe I can do 7 min pace again and not feel like I am going to die. It felt good and I wasn't even trying. It could also be that 12 unnecessary pounds I have shed is helping. Man I can't wait for the spring.

Things to look forward to this week :
Take Robin to breakfast for Valentines Day, and probable dinner to, after the race

Daytona 500, Olympics ( speed skating is roller derby on blades ) Westmeinster Dog Show (the dogs world super bowl ) Survivor ( Go Rupert ) American Idol ( dosen't take much to entertain the old man ) Butler Basketball and next Saturday the Polar Bear Run
