Downtown Run

With the 10 mile race today downtown and plans to open the store for a few hours, my plan is to run the White River trail this morning.

A beautiful morning, cool sunny and a different course for me today.

The White River trail starts downtown and heads north to the canal path, a dandy run.

As you start a NIFS along the river the path is empty and the view is great. My legs are unusually dead this morning, don't know why but ?

I get up a couple miles and need to take a little zig and zag to get to the pedestrian crossing over the river to re connect to the trail. A very old school looking overpass

I continue to the north to the boardwalk, and turn around a retrace my steps. The morning just continues to improve and my legs are coming around.
As I exit the path behind the zoo, you exit to a great view of the city. Indy sure has grown!
I decided to drop down on the downtown canal path to finish my run. This is very pretty to walk , but running isn't the best, sharp turns hard concrete, but it was a change.
I finish at the store where I began, and just a few seconds over a hour.
I sure would have liked a hour and a half today, but experience tells me if it isn't going well just cut back and there will be tomorrow .
Beautiful day 7.5 miles in 1 hour
