Father's Day
Music: Cat's In The Cradle
A run on the Monon today on Father's Day.
Remembering my Dad who has been gone for quit a while.
My Dad loved going to the races with me. He would hang out at the finish line or pass out bananas at the finish.
He was at all the races I put on and helped Ken at his races. He didn't run, never did, maybe that was why he liked watching me , but he really liked the support roll at the runs .
My dad never had a enemy, would always go out of his way to help at anything, no matter what!
After he retired he was a yellow shirt at the 500 and loved that, not for the money just his personality.
After he passed on every race I put on after that on the back of the shirts was my Dad. Still at every race with bananas and water in hand ready to help out.
I am pretty much like my Dad, as they say the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree.
It was a decent run today, not as long as I wanted , but near the end as I was thinking about years back I looked at my Garmin which said my last mile pace was 7:15. I guess that was my gift for the day
