Eagle Creek Park
I headed out to Eagle Creek this morning for a 10 mile run.
I have not been to Eagle Creek for a long run in years, although I did do the DINO Trail race this year, again that was the first time in the park in several years.
EC is probably the best place in Central Indian to train. You will always see a deer or two, all the road courses are mostly in shade, there are hills, not Brown County hills but hills.
All the road courses are marked, and water fountains are around, you just need to remember where they are .
The roads are winding to break up the long stare down paths like the Monon.
And off the road you can find a trail just about anywhere
After a couple laps of the 8K course and a couple extra turns here and there my run was done .

This sport is one where you walk out your door and go. But this is such a great place and I have plenty good memories of fast races in the park, it seems pretty unforgiving that I don't go there more often.
Maybe I will, but now a dip in the pool to cool off and Towne Run Mountain Bike Park finally opened today . Maybe a few laps this afternoon.
