Frozen in your head

Getting ready for work , drinking coffee and hearing the breaking news of one of the towers on fire.
At first , for about 15 minutes it was thought that it was just a fire.

I was like most Americans, I just watched and was shocked. Then to here another crashed heading for the pentagon , and conformation of terrorist attack made it even more shocking.
I just watched as they crumbled to the ground a image that will remain with me as long as I live .
My Mom told me it was like hearing about Pearl Harbor only this was live in front of your eyes .
A moment in history we will never forget.
As I drove past a Carmel Fire Station this morning at 8:47, all the firemen were out in front of their truck standing in a moment of silence.
As for this mornings run , a strange liquid was falling from the sky. RAIN , could it be ?
It was wonderful to get wet during a run from something other than sweat, but we do need some rain. Although I wasn't as happy as this guy, the raibn is good .
For selfish reasons if it rains steady all day that would be great. The cross country course would get much needed moisture, the mountain bike park will get tacky again and make for great riding, and our yards need to give sprinklers a break.

Now remember just a steady soaking rain , I still want to ride Sunday on the mountain bike , but if not rain hard enough to wash all the loose dirt and dust off the trail so when we can get back in , the tires will stick like glue.
5 miles this morning , Long early morning run tomorrow
