Get er" Done
Don't you get tired of hearing that, Get er" Done, but it did apply this morning.
We are up at 4:45, and Robin will get wet no matter what. Her hour swim before she heads to school. Thing is she will not have to deal with the wind and dark.
Off I go , and man having the right clothes really make the run good, as I motor thru the elements.
Back in the day if it was cold and rainy, we would pull on our nylon jacket, which was waterproof for about 2 minutes, rubbed in atomic balm on our hamstring and quads and a ball cap on and suffered thru the run. Back then chaffing in a cold rain was par for the day.
Today though, the great materials of performance wear make running in the weather, just a mind adjustment. With my thin h2o proof jacket a baselayer shirt and pair of compression shorts the rain was a non-factor.
A little windy and the rain was sharp as it hit my face, and other than hitting some puddles I didn't see thru to the darkness, this morning was very pleasant.
So Get er' done , got done and off to Dr Karen for a adjustment. She keeps my old parts lined up so I can continue doing what I love!
5.5 miles in the cold rain
