Still my Favorite Run

A short drive to the River Trail Park, then a couple mile run to the entrance of Prairie View Golf Course.

Yea, a private club on the White River, at the far east side of Carmel. The preferred time to run on this " no runners permitted " is at daybreak or just a little past that.

The groundskeepers are arriving for there morning duties on preparing the course for the days activities, the sun is beginning to burn off the dew that has settled on the greens.

Then there is me, making that left turn onto the cart path to begin my loop around and thru the pristine , rolling course.

It is my most favorite run . It is a 7 mile loop that is beautiful, quiet, the occasional deer or two heading to the woods, and the groundskeepers that instead of screaming and threatening me just wave, and continue there morning work, and I continue my morning run.

Always on the cart path , never on the grass I have used this course bi-weekly for several years , so maybe they just think, hey no golfers here yet, have at it, plus as far as I know I have never seen anyone else ever attempt to run here.

My buddy Doug has been out here with me , but to date has never crossed his mind to solo it fearing if they don't see me he could be cut down by a Big Bertha driver at 300 yards.

Like Doug who has a mission to hop in fountains at all his out of town locations he can , mine is to document , by pix , hole markers from all the courses I trespass, scratch that, run on.

If it doesn't rain again tonight, the lawn needs a cut AGAIN.

Emma the Pug will need her walk, its tough on her with this heat

and Marty will need a Shiner, The best beer from Texas!!
