Hammered Towne Run
Last night after a good morning tempo run on the cross country course, I headed to Towne Run to see what kind of lap I could turn on my mountain bike .

The first lap of 5 miles was a warm up, drank some water and looked around at the other people around , timing it to get a clean run.

I is like F-1 qualifying, every one on the track , you just try to time it so you don't have to pass anyone , a clean run

At 6pm on a great night the park was pretty full, but I thought I found my spot. Garmin running, tire pressure low to grip the dry, loose dirt its into the trail , trying to keep wheels on the ground instead of getting air . ( just like downhill skiers, in the air you slow down )

Things are rolling, a couple slips on the loose stuff on hard turns , and at the turn to head back
I am rolling. The goal sub 20 minutes.

Thru a couple curves and a switchback, I see some one ahead, and knowing the trail only risky places to pass.

MAN, I get behind this slow dude, ( fake picture ) But I do get behind a guy and he makes a attempt, poor attempt to move over, and I just about saw my life flash by me as it was a real risky move on my part, but I was on pace. I still can break 20.

Around another blind turn , flying , a guy I guess picking his butt. Time goal gone , momentum gone , mojo with the trail gone.

Still a pretty killer lap of 21 minutes, but I had it, I know I did.

Wait until it rains a bit and the trail gets tacky, the 17 minutes that the young bucks did during the time trial could drop further, and the old man on the Air 7, WILL break 20

The run in the dark this morning was again wonderful, just dark. I thing my fav run tomorrow morning, the golf course by the river

15 miles on mountain bike last night and 5 run on road this morning

Now this would be a rush. Downhill at dark, with lights in the mountains .
